COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS

This strong partnership between school and parent allows you to know what your child is doing in class and you can share and support their learning and enjoy their successes. This partnership only works with sound, two-way communication and for this we use Firefly as our intranet. Firefly is a world renowned, reliable and creative platform used by many other top schools.

When your child joins ACE they will be given their own school email address and online account, managed by the ACE IT ELF. This also gives our students access to all the wonderful facilities on Firefly. We use this for information, communication, displays, tasks, timetabling and so much more. With the current health situation it is imperative that our students continue to receive the high standard of education that ACE delivers, wherever they are.
As a parent you are also given access to Firefly with your own, personal login details. This allows you to keep track of your child's progress, you are able to see what work has been set for them and when it is due for submission, you can see your child's timetable and you have access to lots of information about the day to day life at school.
In this day and age communication is an essential and integral part of our everyday lives. At ACE we believe that success is the result of a strong partnership between school and you, our parents. We hold parent-teacher consultations in the first half term of the Autumn Term so that you can make sure that your child has settled into school and is thriving. We also hold parent-teacher consultations in the Spring Term so that you can discuss your child's continuing progress. We then send you a report at the end of each academic year. Of course, we are always available to chat with you either by phone or by email should you have anything you wish to discuss.
