Does ACE have any specific deadlines for applications for places?
No. We accept applications for places all through the year and admit students all through the year as well. Our flexible approach to teaching allows us to start at a students current academic level so they fit right in whenever they join us.
Is the application fee refundable?
No. As stated in our Terms & Conditions, the application fee is non-refundable if you withdraw from the application process or if a place is not offered.
How do you assign year groups?
Students are assigned to a year group according to their date of birth. The year groups go from 01 September to 31 August and more details can be found on our Admissions Portal.
What is the language of instruction?
All lessons are carried out in English. French, at various levels, is part of the curriculum but otherwise all lessons are in English. The Cambridge International curriculum and the ASDAN curriculum are both in English.
Do you accept students who do not speak English?
Yes we do! We have talented EAL teachers (English as an Additional Language) who support students who do not speak English or who need to improve their level of English. This is part of the fees.
What support is available for students who need educational support?
At ACE we are very proud of the inclusion programmes that we offer. You can find out a lot more information about the support that is available by going to our Inclusion page.
How will my child get to and from school?
ACE is in the very centre of Brussels and is served by a splendid transport system. We have buses at one end of our road and trams at the other end which many of our students use with their free student transport cards. We also have lots of street parking.
Do students wear a uniform?
Our students do not wear a uniform. We do, however, have a dress code to ensure personal safety and to help our students to make good choices in their lives. ACE students also have school sweatshirts which they enjoy wearing.
Do you have any after school facilities?
Yes we do! Garderie is in place until 18:00 every day. We also have a variety of clubs which the students can enjoy, some of which are free.
Are the lunch facilities available?
Yes they are! TCO deliver freshly produced and locally sourced lunches on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. If you prefer, your child can bring in a packed lunch from home. Or, you can have a combination of both. They choice is yours!
